| For a long time now, my policy has been that I won't make pictures for people for free. It isn't fair to those who have paid for them, and I don't feel it's fair to me either. It's not just because I need money, but also because I hate telling people "no". But, upon coming back from my recent trip, I've found several people asking about free stuff, often under labels such as "request", "suggestion", or "idea". I look back on all the stuff I've put up here for all to enjoy so far, as well as the more than eighty freeware fonts I've made, and think to myself that maybe it's enough. I guess the only reason for me to still post here is just to put things I've made on the internet so other people can see them. I'm not sure that's enough reason for me to continue. There's no sense of reward in it anymore. So, if I'm not enjoying it, and it's not helping me in some way, why do it? I'm going to shift my energy and free time back to fonts, because that's where the money is, and I'm much better at it than I am at cartoons. Thanks to all who've watched and/or fav'd. I'll probably still post, but don't check back often because new pieces will be few and far between. -Vic April 7 2012 |
